Restaurants in Brisbane City for Special Dinner Date

With an endless list of cuisines, Brisbane is a foodie haven. From Italian to American, Turkish to Indian, and everything in between, there is a wide range of restaurants in the city that cater to every taste.

The best thing about the city is that it never disappoints you in finding the right restaurant. So, if you are looking for a place to dine with your friends or family, this is the perfect place. Here are some of the best restaurants in Brisbane city for your special moment.

Aria Restaurant

ARIA is a modern Australian restaurant that showcases the freshest of local produce designed by celebrity chef Matt Moran. It also offers a contemporary menu and an extensive wine list, with seamless, friendly and efficient service.

The harborside eatery has undergone a recent spruce up, but the restaurant’s reputation is still unmatched for its panoramic views and expertly crafted dishes.

Located in the Eagle Street Pier precinct, Aria is a fine dining establishment that is perfect for date nights, special occasions and after work drinks. The restaurant is famous for its sweeping harbor views and innovative Australian cuisine.

Masa Art

Brisbane’s restaurants offer an endless range of cuisines and dishes. From Vietnamese, Indian, French, American to Italian, you’re never short of a good meal or restaurant in the city.

The itinerant collective MASA Art, founded by Age Salajoe and Hector Esrawe, combines design and art to challenge notions of space, architecture, and form, often taking over far-fetched locations for their exhibitions. They’re kicking off NYCxDesign at Rockefeller Center with a stellar group show, bringing a mix of works that blur the lines between art and design.

Pig ‘N’ Whistle

Pig ‘N’ Whistle is a restaurant and bar that serves up a range of fine dining, burgers, steaks, pub meals and cocktails. It also has live music, DJs and a host of other entertainment options including trivia nights.

The first of its kind in Brisbane, the Indooroopilly incarnation boasts an impressive and quaint array of English decor that makes it a favourite with expats and locals alike. It’s also home to one of the city’s most popular live sport screens, televising the likes of the England Premier League and international rugby. It’s not surprising that this is a favourite Friday night haunt of many.

BrewDog Fortitude Valley

Scottish-born craft beer brand BrewDog has expanded its Brisbane offering to include a second venue in trendy Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. This stunning heritage listed building is home to 20 taps spread across three levels of craft beer heaven, shuffleboards, pinball and epic farm-to-table junk food. It is also a house of some of the founders of social clubs in Brisbane.

Drinkers can indulge in an epic range of beers ranging from session-strength pale ales and lagers to epic imperial stouts, sours and the BrewDog & Friends series of guest local breweries, alongside sustainable cocktails, wine and spirits. The bar also serves a selection of 50 percent plant-based options, plus weekly specials such as all-you-can-eat wings for $25.

DogTap

After opening 90 bars across the globe, Scottish punk brewers BrewDog has finally arrived in Australia. Now sprawled over a massive hefty parcel of land on the banks of Brisbane River in Murarrie, DogTap is the company’s 94th global bar and only the fourth taproom directly attached to a BrewDog brewing facility.

The venue boasts 28 beer taps featuring a rotating selection of guest tipples from Queensland’s craft breweries, including Range Brewing, Currumbin Valley Brewing, Balter, Aether, Brouhaha and Black Hops, along with an all-Australian wine list. It also offers a food menu that includes 11 types of burgers, eight varieties of pizza and Korean-style chicken wings.

Happy Boy

One of the new kids on the block, Happy Boy is making many a boy and girl happy with its authentic regional Chinese flavours. Situated in a discreet street in Spring Hill, this converted warehouse has high ceilings, open spaces, exposed brick and communal tables.

This contemporary takeaway-turned-restaurant is a hip-as-a-button wine bar-come-Chinese eatery that will have you coming back for more (and more booze). With an impressive wine list projected on the wall and a sizzling hot wok imported from Hong Kong, Happy Boy is the coolest restaurant in Brisbane you didn’t know you needed.
