There are eight upscale, family-friendly dining options at Omni Amelia Island Resort, while the Palmetto Walk Shopping Village and the Amelia Farmers Market are nearby. The resort is also within a short distance of the Fernandina Beach Historic District and the Everbanks Preserve, while the Nature Center offers fun and educational nature tours.

The Golf Club of Amelia Island

The Golf Club of Amelia Island is a private golf course that offers a first-class golf experience to its guests. It is located on Amelia Island and is open to its members as well as those who stay at the adjacent Summer Beach and Ritz Carlton resorts. The course features a challenging but beautiful Mark McCumber and Gene Littler design that is in great condition. It also offers five sets of tees for players of all skill levels.

The course is surrounded by beautiful oaks and is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds and sea turtles. Its beautiful surroundings and excellent service make it an ideal place for golf lovers to relax. The Golf Club of Amelia Island also offers a full-service bar and grill to help guests unwind after their round. This is the place where you can find various country club activities for an unforgettable experience.

Located on Amelia Island Plantation, The Golf Club of Amelia Island is surrounded by the ocean and the expansive marshes of North Florida. The golf club is home to two 18-hole championship courses, the Oak Marsh and Long Point. The club also has a state-of-the-art clubhouse and a full-service restaurant. The club also has a range of amenities for its members, including 23 Har-Tru tennis courts and a new state-of-the-art fitness center.

One of the best things about Amelia Island is its variety of courses for golfers of all levels. From pristine sand and oceanfront courses to rolling fairways and lush greens, the area has a course for every golfer. Amelia Island has 117 championship holes, 7 of which are directly on the Atlantic, making it one of the most prestigious golf destinations in the world.

While golfing may seem easy on television, it’s not that way in real life. Golf is a game of precision and patience, so it’s important to plan your visit carefully.

Amelia River Golf Club

Located near Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, Amelia River Golf Club is a full-service semi-private course that combines a natural environment with a full range of amenities including a pro shop, PGA golf instruction, practice areas, and locker rooms. The course features Bermuda fairways and greens and is a challenging yet enjoyable layout. The club also has a Cape Cod-style clubhouse, which adds a touch of warmth to the experience and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

The course itself is a challenging test of skill that rewards the player who uses brains over brawn. The holes resemble links courses on some stretches and parklands on others, with stylish bunkering, rippling earthmounds, and palmettos adding to the visual appeal. The prevailing wind makes the course more difficult, particularly on some of the par-5s and on the holes by the airport.

Amelia River is a true test of accuracy and ball control. A good drive down the middle will put you in good position to attack some of the par-4s, but too many mistakes and you could find yourself in trouble. The 13th is a prime example, a long par five that runs alongside the airport. A strategic lay up will give you a chance to reach the green in two, but you must avoid the water hazards that lurk in front and the tidal marshes on the right.

The course s signature hole is the 17th, a 147-yard par 3 over water to an island green. This hole is reminiscent of the 17th at TPC Sawgrass and is a great way to end your round. The course is well-maintained and the staff is friendly. Amelia River is a great choice for a day of golf and a relaxing visit to Amelia Island.
